Description

Nick Cardy Superman Family #169 Cover Original Art (DC, 1975). Lois Lane finds herself as the "Target of the Tarantula" on the all-new original art portion of this cover. Only the large panel is original art and was created in ink over graphite on Sparta Bristol board. It has an image area of 6.5" x 8.5". The entire masthead/banner/logo, all word balloons and caption boxes, the two side bar images, and the lower banner are all modern day replacement stats affixed directly to the board. The board has been water damaged in the past (and possibly cleaned at a later date), which has caused red ink on the reverse to soak through to the front. There is whiteout (or white paint) applied in the center of the original art portion to cover up some of the bleed-through. The board has stains, and also edge rips that have been mended with white painter's tape on the reverse side. In Good condition.
