Description

Nick Cardy Superman #259 Cover Original Art (DC, 1972). The Man of Steel is blasted by a "crutch ray" on this stunning cover. Ink over graphite and blue pencil on cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, taped stat logo and header, residue staining from a missing title paste-up ("The Kid Who Knocked Out Superman!") at the bottom, pinholes in the corners, whiteout touch-ups, with light staining and handling wear. Signed in the lower left image area and personalized by Cardy in the bottom margin. In Very Good condition.
