Description

Nick Cardy Superboy #197 Cover Original Art (DC, 1973). The Legion battle Timber Wolf on this classic cover which featured the first shared billing of the title with the Legion of Super-Heroes. Superboy is joined by Chameleon Boy, Duo Damsel, Brainiac 5, Saturn Girl, Ultra Boy, and Element Lad against the returned member who was presumed dead on this iconic cover created in ink over graphite on cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15", matted and glass-front frame to 14.5" x 19.75". Slight toning, loose low-res stat logo/header replacement paste-up, Superboy head art paste-up with excess residue staining, blue pencil editorial notes, whiteout corrections, with light handling wear. In Very Good condition. Includes a copy of the comic.
