Nick Cardy Flash #228 Cover Original Art (DC, 1974). The fleet-footed Flash is on the tail of the Trickster on this cover. But who's that holding our hero back? It's none other than Cary Bates (of Earth-Prime) making an appearance in his own story "The Day I Saved the Life of the Flash". Rendered in ink over blue pencil on Sparta cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The DC bullet, price, logo, and all header info are stat paste-ups. The word balloon and lower caption box are hand-lettered paste-ups. Toned, with some glue residue. Some of the stats are discolored and/or loose. In Very Good condition.
