Description

Nick Cardy Detective Comics #429 Cover Man-Bat Original Art (DC, 1972). The versatile Nick Cardy renders a dramatic vision of the supporting character/villain Man-Bat here as Kirk Langstrom goes batty in the story "Man-Bat Over Vegas!" The main image area was crafted in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board. The full cover image area measures 10" x 15". The header, DC bullet, logo, and all side-bar images and text are all stat paste-ups, some of which are coming loose. Signed by Cardy in the bottom margin. There is a bit of glue residue stain in the main image area near the girl's arm and Man-Bat's wing, and a light toning. Overall the cover is in Very Good condition.
