Description
Neal Adams Detective Comics #407 Cover Man-Bat Original Art (DC, 1971). Kirk Langstrom returns as the creature of the night known as Man-Bat! The cover features both Batman and Man-Bat, as the latter attempts to steal Francine Lee away from a church, for the story "Marriage: Impossible"! Of course, Kirk and Francine were eventually married, but the curse of the Man-Bat hung heavy over this couple's happiness. A Bat-tastic cover from one of the most influential artists of the Bronze Age, Mr. Neal Adams! Crafted in ink over graphite on Sparta Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The corner box art and logo are stat paste-ups. The lower "The Bride of the Man-Bat!" caption box is a hand-lettered paste-up. It is signed by Adams just below that box inside the image area.
