Description
Neal Adams Batman #210 Catwoman Cover Original Art (DC, 1969). This cool cover has plenty of snappy appeal for all Batfans with a soft spot for Catwoman. It hurts so sexy good -- as Batman finds out when he is bound up in the Catwoman's wicked whip in this sixties "Bats-terpiece," laid out by DC cover guru Carmine Infantino, and then finished by a Silver Age newcomer -- the now-legendary Neal Adams. The Catwoman has changed into her newest slinky catsuit for this issue's cover and she may have purr-loined this torrid "new look" from Harvey Comics' Black Cat -- mee-owww. We previously offered an alternate unpublished Irv Novick-finished version of this cover hook -- but evidently, Neal Adams redrew the cover scene for the final published cover (only his third Batman cover). Catwoman is backed-up by her Legion of Feline Furies. This dynamic cover has an image area of approximately 10" x 15". The title logo and and the word balloon are vintage elements, and the other type elements are carefully color-matched replacements; it's in Very Good condition. Layout artist Carmine Infantino inscribed and signed the art at the upper right. Also included with this lot are the hand painted color guide and two printer's proofs (each with a long closed tear at the upper left).More information about Neal Adams. See also: Adams, Neal Artist.
