Neal Adams and Dick Giordano Planet of Vampires #2 Cover Original Art (Atlas/Seaboard, 1975). A fang-tastic Adams cover from a peak-period for the legendary artist. In 1975, Seaboard Publications attempted to turn out an entire full range of comic books to compete with Marvel. Tomb of Dracula was popular, as was Planet of the Apes. So Seaboard mixed the two ideas together to come up with this Horror/Sci-Fi series. This cover was produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15.5". The header/logo info are all stat paste-ups. The cover text and caption box are hand-lettered paste-ups. There is glue residue near the paste-ups on the toned board. Signed by Adams and Giordano in the lower right. In Very Good condition.
