Description
Murphy Anderson Hawkman #7 Cover Original Art (DC, 1965). The cover art for the featured story "Attack of the Crocodile-Men!" has three of the reptilians ganging up on the Winged Wonder! The Silver Age Hawkman (Thanagarian Policeman Katar Hol) was still relatively new to the scene, having first appeared in Brave and the Bold #34 in 1961. He had just joined the Justice League a few months before this beauty of a cover was released. Created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Sparta cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". The "Amazing Return of the I.Q. Gang" blurb and art are an original ink paste-up. The logo and CCA stamp are stat paste-ups. There are a few small stains in the image area. Overall in Very Good condition. From the Murphy Anderson Collection.More information about Murphy Anderson.
