DescriptionMort Meskin and George Roussos House of Secrets #58 Cover Mark Merlin Original Art (DC, 1963). The cover promises the origin of Mark Merlin... if he doesn't get convicted by the animal tribunal for wearing Jughead's sweater. Mark Merlin first appeared in this title in issue #23 and in issue #73, he became Prince Ra-Man (in a complicated bit of comic book story telling). A wonderful twice-up scale cover on DC Sparta Bristol board, it was created in ink over graphite with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". The logo and all header elements (except for the printed DC bullet) are modern-day replacement stat paste-ups. Mark's left hand is a paste-up original art correction. The cover is toned, with some soiling. In Very Good condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
