Description

Mo Gollub Turok, Son of Stone #9 Cover Original Art (Dell, 1957). The earliest Turok cover we've ever offered and the only one from the Dell years (issues #1-29). Turok and his younger brother Andar face off against a ferocious Dimetrodon in this outstanding painted cover from the early Silver Age. The art is in gouache on illustration board, with an approximate image area of 14" x 17". The outer borders of the art have considerable handling wear, but the image area remains in Excellent condition, although comparing the art to the printed cover, the dino's leg appears somewhat faded, possibly a natural discoloration from aging but actual cause unknown. You dinosaur fans out there need to check this bad boy out!
