DescriptionMike Sekowsky and George Roussos - Original Cover Art for Metal Men #40 (DC Comics, 1968). For a brief time, the Metal Men, robots created by Dr. Will Magnus, adopted human identities and worked as undercover agents. This cover is from that period, and shows Tina, or Platinum as she was better known, being menaced by a shadowy figure. The cover measures approximately 11.5" x 17.25" overall, with an approximate image area of 10" x 15" and is in good condition. The titles and logos are stats, all the rest is original. There is some missing statwork at the top, and many of the statted pieces are held to the board with tape. There is some slight waviness to the page, and some minor discoloration, but these are minor problems considering the relative scarcity of covers from this era. The piece has been signed by Dick Giordano in the lower right corner.
