Mike Grell Starslayer #8 Cover Original Art (First Comics, 1983). Grell had thrived at mainstream DC Comics as a worthy successor to Neal Adams -- but Grell really cut loose at semi-Underground First Comics, where his bizarre fusion of SF and piracy adventure, Starslayer, set a new standard for high-tension action-adventure. This gripping replica of a fugitive-wanted poster depicts principal characters Torin and Tamara, underscored by a ray-gun blast. Signed at the lower margin. Accompanied by the mechanical engraving components essential to the printing of the book. Ink and graphite shading on kid-finish Bristol board. Image area is 9.75" x 15". Excellent condition.
