DescriptionMike DeCarlo Fantastic Four #43 Cover Homage Original Art (2012). This pulse-pounding homage to Jack Kirby's "Lo, There Shall Be an Ending" cover captures the stark drama of "The World's Greatest Comic Magazine." In this Marvel classic from 1965, Reed Richards manages to free Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm from the Frightful Four's brainwashing, and he and Sue Storm defeat the vicious villains. This is not a line-for-line re-creation, which Mike DeCarlo feels is somewhat boring and misleading. Instead, Mr. DeCarlo has done a well-conceived tribute to Jack Kirby, with his updated inking approach. This awesome piece has an image area of 8.5" x 12.5", and it's all hand-done. The piece is drawn in graphite and ink on Bristol, and it's in Excellent condition. Signed in its lower right margin.
