    Description

Mark Schultz Bone Sharps, Cowboys and Thunder Lizards: A Tale of Edward Drinker Cope, Othniel Charles Marsh, and the Gilded Age of Paleontology Illustration Cover Original Art (G.T. Labs, 2005). Mark Schultz's work puts him in the exclusive grouping of Dave Stevens, Frank Frazetta, and Al Williamson in the minds of many collectors, and this piece is a perfect example of why. Schultz is best known for his creation of and work on Xenozoic Tales, a title first introduced in 1987 that blended modern humans with dinosaurs, and was later renamed Cadillacs and Dinosaurs when it was published by Marvel's Epic line. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.5" x 8.5". The board shows marginal edge toning and smudging, and soft handling wear. In Excellent condition.
