DescriptionMark Bright Spider-Man versus Wolverine #1 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1987). A dynamic and iconic cover that precedes the regular Wolverine series. This story was a bit notorious as the writer, Christopher Priest (then known as James C. Owsley) killed off long-time Spidey supporting cast member Ned Leeds in it. The problem with that... Ned Leeds was supposed to secretly be Hobgoblin in the regular Spider-Man titles at that time! Whoopsie! This cover is produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The interior story was inked by Al Williamson, and this cover looks to have been inked by him as well in our opinion. All logos and corner box are paste-up on an acetate overlay, but appear to be originals. In Excellent condition.
