Description

Marie Severin and John Romita Sr. Amazing Spider-Man #82 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1970). "And Then Came Electro!" Marie Severin penciled and inked this cover with an inking assist from John Romita Sr. on the main figures. There is some whiteout art correction on Spidey that is likely JRSR's handiwork. This is a great Electro cover, much more dynamic than his first appearance on the cover of 1964's issue #9. The wonderfully detailed piece is signed by both "Mirthful" Marie and "The Jazzy One" in the bottom margin. Produced in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The corner box is paste-up, with a tear in it at knee level. The logo and cover blurb are paste-up as well. There is some glue residue and a bit of production tape holding them in place. The board is lightly toned, with some handling wear. Other than noted, in Excellent condition.
