Description

Marie Severin and Joe Sinnott Captain America #127 Cover Nick Fury/Sharon Carter Original Art (Marvel, 1970). Dum-Dum Dugan and Sharon Carter are in the background behind the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury, on this battle-frenzy cover. The premise of the issue was that Cap had to survive a battle with this android to prove he wasn't an imposter. A wonderful way to kick off the Bronze Age of the Marvel Universe, created in ink over blue pencil on World Color Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The corner box, logo, and all header dressing are stat paste-ups. All word balloons and caption boxes are hand-lettered paste-ups. There is glue residue on the art in places, with production stains on the right side and margin. There is minor creasing and tears along the edges. Overall the board is toned with some handling wear. Mounted to a 16" x 22" mat. In Very Good condition. Comes with a copy of the printed comic.
