Description

Marie Severin and Frank Giacoia Daredevil #63 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1970). The Gladiator goes wild! This ripping good cover pits Melvin Potter against Marvel's "Man Without Fear". The cover has had production changes from the original art. Gladiator is a printed paste-up, with the image scaled down from its original size to better fit the scene. The original artwork has been cut from the board and is no longer present. These pieces were assembled on a World Color Bristol board. The remaining original art includes the Daredevil figure, as well as the cell doors and walls. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The entire masthead and trade dressing are all printed paste-up. The cover blurb and word balloons are stat paste-ups. There are whiteout art clean-ups. The board is toned, with glue residue. In Good condition.

More Information: EDIT: The Gladiator figure is a printed paste-up. Not original art.
