Marie Severin and Bill Everett Daredevil #67 Cover Original Art with Stan Lee Letter (Marvel, 1970). Most everyone knows Bill Everett drew Daredevil #1, but his contributions to the title after that were limited to inking two stories and two covers. So there's too little Daredevil at to go around from the man who co-created the character along with Stan Lee -- and to make this lot even better, included is a hand-written letter by Stan Lee! The classic cover battle between the Man Without Fear and Stilt-Man has the logo "E7V" on the right side boat's smoke stack that represents the art team, which Severin has credited to Everett, saying 'he thought seven was close enough to Severin, so people would get it'. The art team only worked on a handful of covers together, with this one being one of the most recognizable. Included with the cover is a letter from Stan Lee on Marvel letterhead, explaining how he got the piece out of the Marvel offices, written in classic "Stan" fashion, as a thank you gift. A great story to go with a great cover! Ink over graphite on cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Toned, taped logo, header, and text paste-ups, residue staining from a missing paste-up, staple at the top, tape on the top and bottom edges, rippling and staining from moisture, surface dirt and wear. In Good condition. Includes a copy of the comic and the letter from Stan Lee includes a COA.
