Description

Marie Severin and Bill Everett Chamber of Darkness #4 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1970). The lead story "The Monster", written by Jack Kirby, got the cover feature. The original cover text read "And The Monster Man Came Walking -- Walking --", although some of the text paste-up is missing. It now reads "The Monster Came Walking". Stunning art by Ms. Severin and Mr. Everett, highly detailed and expressive. There is a note on the left side margin that reads "Bill -- Make her a beautiful -- frightened gal". The art is playfully signed "7-EV" in the image area on the right side middle. Created in ink over graphite on World Color cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The corner box, logo, and all cover text are stat paste-ups. There is glue residue from missing paste-ups, and discoloring in the logo. Overall, in Very Good condition.
