Description

Lee Elias - Original Cover Art for Warfront #4 (Harvey, 1952). This brave soldier is a real pain in the neck to his German counterpart, as Lee Elias pencils and inks a harrowing scene of warfront combat. You can almost feel the heat from the explosion in the background, as the bold inks really bring this scene to life. Exceptional condition for this era, there is light discoloration in the margins, but virtually no white-out, and a good clean image. The logo and the text box are replacement stats, but the art has been cunningly restored so that the text box can be removed to reveal the somber artwork of a dead soldier beneath. Measures 13" x 19", with an image area of 11" x 16.5".
