Lee Elias - Original Cover Art for Chamber of Chills #14 (Harvey, 1952). Lee Elias has been unjustly overshadowed by his artistic peers of the time, including Frazetta, Williamson, Wood, and Crandall. However, Elias was able to produce far more pages of art and yet still maintained a diversity to his stories which also speaks volumes about his talent. If you look at the female figure on the ground, you can't help but believe that John Romita was directly influenced by Elias. Due to Harvey's practice of removing title stats to be used for subsequent issues, Heritage Comics has had this exceptional piece professionally restored so as to present it in a way that best reflects the original intent of the artist. The text box to the left of the creature is a replaced stat. The title mast area has been reproduced and mounted on a piece of clear acetate overlay so that the art showing more of the man descending from an opening in the cave ceiling, which was initially covered by the original title stat, can still be appreciated. This awesome piece of art is in great condition and measures approximately 12.75" x 18.25"
