Larry Todd and Vaughn Bodé Junkwaffel #1 Back Cover Painting Original Art (The Print Mint Inc., 1972). Here's a real stunner of a painting with exceptional luster and depth! This back cover painting was created edge-to-edge in oil with an overcoat of sealant on 18" x 23.5" pressboard. Underground Comix artist Larry Todd, best known for his Dr. Atomic series and the classic comic Tales from the Armorkins, was one of the late Vaughn Bodé's closest friends, and the two artists often collaborated. Little wonder then that Vaughn invited Larry to contribute to this important first issue of Junkwaffel, which is otherwise a solo Bodé comic. The corners are dinged, and the top right corner is broken-but intact; there are also some minor moisture stains, but the painting is still very impressive. Signed by both artists in the image area.
