DescriptionLarry Lieber - Original Cover Art for Kid Colt Outlaw #133 (Marvel, 1967). This cover is the comics equivalent of a movie trailer, chock full of text and containing three big action scenes. Larry Lieber turns in an art job that's every bit as gun-slingin', hard-ridin', and sharp-shootin' as the cover copy claims. A look at the figures and composition suggests that he had Jack Kirby in mind as he went for maximum impact. All three panels have been pasted on, and there are traces of glue and tape in spots, as well as white-out in the lower right panel. The art is 13" x 20" on a 17" x 22" page. The piece is signed by Lieber below the image area. From the personal collection of Larry Lieber.
