DescriptionKelley Jones Batman #496 Knightfall Cover Joker Original Art (DC, 1993). The cover for Part 9 of the Knightfall story arc shows Batman in pretty bad shape, beating the punk out of the Joker, as a Scarecrow Gas-induced vision of Jason Todd (Robin II) watches on. If Bruce Wayne is in bad shape now, he will be in even worse shape next issue when Bane breaks his back on the cover of this title. Crafted in ink over graphite on bright white DC Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The DC bullet, credits box, and Knightfall header are original stat paste-ups. The Batman logo is printed and painted on an acetate overlay. In Excellent condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.View More Testimonials
