DescriptionKeith Birdsong Star Trek: Spectre Paperback Novel Cover Painting Original Art (Pocketbooks, 1998). Captain's Picard and (a young) Kirk are in the foreground, with a spectral Mirror Universe version of Commander Spock in the background. Co-authored by William Shatner himself, this was part of a trilogy. The painting is quite unusual for a Birdsong piece, as it has an actual 3-D texture on the moonscape background. Rich colors and great likenesses to the actors make this a wonderful piece. Crafted in acrylic paint and color pencil on illustration board with a taped-off image area of 28.5" x 18.25". The bottom left corner has been creased, which has cracked the paint in two places. Signed and dated 1997 by Birdsong. In Very Good condition.
