Description

Joyce Chin America #1 Variant Cover Original Art (Marvel, 2017). America Chavez "star-smashes" right through the page and into our dimension via this incredible illustration by Joyce Chin, which was used for the Coast to Coast Comic Con exclusive. America first made her way to comic shop shelves in 2011 and her critical reception has since been nothing but stellar. She has since been praised by many critics and comic fans, not only for being Marvel's first Latin-American LGBTQ+ character to star in an ongoing series; but also for being a well-developed character that doesn't shy away from problems and takes issues head on. She has also been a key member in various teams including, the Teen Brigade, the Young Avengers, A-Force, the Ultimates, and the West Coast Avengers! Most recently, America made her star-spangled MCU debut as she faced head on the twisted Scarlet Witch in this years Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where she was played by Xochitl Gomez. Talk about a rising star! This powerful cover was created in ink and white paint over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Light smudging/handling wear. In Excellent condition.
