Jon J. Muth Moonshadow #11 Cover Original Art (DC/Vertigo, 1995). A haunting moment of consequence unfolds as Moonshadow stands over Pobidiah, pistol in hand, surrounded by a pool of blood. The weight of his actions settles in, his mind drifting through the hazy surrealism of an act committed in pure emotion, now giving way to cold reality. Jon J. Muth perfectly captures this psychological unraveling, using his signature dreamlike textures and ethereal tones to immerse the viewer in the moment. This stunning cover -- newly created by Muth for the reprint of the Marvel / Epic series from the 1980s -- perfectly encapsulates the raw emotion and introspection that defined Moonshadow's groundbreaking narrative. Created in watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.5" x 13". Light smudging and light handling wear. Signed by Muth in the bottom margin. In Excellent condition.
