DescriptionJohn Severin King-Sized Cracked #2 Partial Cover Original Art (Major Publications, 1967). Sylvester P. Smythe plays the role of carnival huckster in this excellent likeness. When this image was reused for the Super Cracked #13 Spring 1980 issue, the artwork was trimmed and modified in-house and the original image was masked with paper. In other words: if you removed the blank paper and masking tape from this piece, you would find the original art for several figures from the 1967 cover underneath, though not the entire cover. Produced in mixed media on illustration board with an image area of 18" x 12". Handling wear on the edges. Taped across the board and discolored at the tape line. The lower left corner is folded and blunted. In Very Good condition.
