DescriptionJohn Severin Giant Cracked #2 Cover Painting Original Art (Major Publications, 1966). Originally published as the cover for Giant Cracked #2 in 1966, this art was altered and then reused as the cover for issue #14, in 1978. The original illustration board was physically cut down, chopping Severin's signature "O. O. Severin" in half. Other changes include swapping out a Sylvester Stallone face over a Dean Martin face, and adding a C3PO face over another figure. The main paste-up sign in the middle was changed and is now missing. Much of the corrective whiteout has flecked off, and there is overall tanning and foxing. Produced in acrylic on 15.5" x 18" illustration board. In Good condition. From the Cracked Vault Collection.
