John Severin - Cracked #186 Cover Original Art (Major Magazines, 1982). Leave it to Sylvester P. Smythe to completely screw things up, including touching up the paint on the jail cell in the ol' 12th Precinct, home of TV's nicest cop, Barney Miller, and his scintillating squad. Inspector Luger, Harris, Wojo, Levitt, Dietrich, and Barn are all aghast at the disappearing paint job. An outstanding cover by the underrated John Severin, which perfectly captures the likenesses of the actors, as well as rendering a great gag in warm, attractive colors. Produced with ink and watercolor on thick illustration board, the artwork measures 14.5" x 19.75", with an image area of 14.5" x 14.5". The piece is in Excellent condition, with light blunting at the corners, which does not affect the artwork. Also included is a copy of the printed magazine. You'd be well and truly Cracked not to bid on this spiffy cover!
