John Romita Sr. The Amazing Spider-Man #100 Cover Re-Creation Original Art (1994). John Romita Sr. only created a small handful of Amazing Spider-Man cover re-creations for the 1994 Sotheby's Comic and Comic Art auction -- not only is this re-creation of issue #100, "The Spider or the Man," the most iconic image of the group -- in our opinion it's the absolute best. The Jazzy One obviously had a fondness for the 1971 cover, as there is a tremendous amount of detail (including white ink on the black background for the supporting cast) in this large-size image, which is even bigger than typical "twice-up" size. This is a definitive image encompassing the most important characters from the first hundred issues, ready for framing. This stunning re-creation of a mighty Marvel milestone has an image area of 13.5" x 20", includes the Sotheby's paperwork, and it has been matted to an overall size of 20" x 26".
