John Romita Sr. Captain America #141 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1971). A stunning cover, with great aerial perspective as Cap is facing a mind-controlled Falcon (who is turned to stone), while trying to save the also turned-to-stone Sharon Carter and Nick Fury! The cause of this? ...The Grey Gargoyle, seen escaping in the background, of course. It's from a high-point on this title as Cap and the Falcon had just started working as partners. One of the best "buddy books" of the era. The cover was created in ink over blue pencil on World Color Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There is quite a bit of whiteout art correction on the page. All of the elements on the left side (Cap, the raft, the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier) are original art on a trimmed piece of Bristol board affixed to the main board that has the remaining original art (Grey Gargoyle and the secret S.H.I.E.L.D. base). There is a stain on Captain America that is either production oil, or discoloration from the paste-up glue. In Very Good condition overall.
