DescriptionJohn Romita Sr. Amazing Spider-Man #111 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1972). The Bronze Age was getting into full swing by the time of this dynamic cover, spotlighting Spidey's foes Gibbon and Kraven the Hunter. It's action all the way -- says so right there on the cover! This cover is by the Jazzy one himself, John Romita Sr., who is regarded by many as the greatest Spider-Man artist of all time. According to Nick Caputo, it's possible that Frank Giacoia inked Romita's pencils. This cover is ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The top banner is all paste-up, as is the text at the bottom. There is some tanning and paste-up residue on the cover. Also there is wear and stains in the margins and corners. Overall in Very Good condition. Signed by Romita in the bottom margin. From the Greg Reece Collection.
