John Romita - Original Cover Art for Spidey Super Stories #15 (Marvel, 1976). Spider-Man is hot! And, when you get right down to it, who is a hotter, more classic, Spider-Man artist then John Romita? Here is an opportunity to acquire a truly great example from Romita's peak Spider-Man period without breaking the bank. This cover features a classic swinging Spidey that is pure Romita. Additionally, Romita, known for beautifully rendered women is pulling no punches here in his airborne version of X-Men's main character, Storm. The image area measures 10" x 15", pen and ink on vellum still partially attached to the original art board. There is some slight glue residue on the back side of the vellum but it's evenly distributed and does not distract from the beauty of the piece. The original color Guide is also included with this lot.
