John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson Avengers V4#1 Variant Gatefold Cover Element Illustration Wolverine Original Art (Marvel, 2010). Wolverine appears on this section of the six-part gatefold cover that was one of the (many) variant covers for this landmark relaunch of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Each section of the gatefold spotlighted a different Avenger, although Wolverine shared a section with Spider-Man. This image was used solo as a variant cover for X-Men V3#1 a few months later in 2010. Produced in ink over graphite on bright white Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15".
