John Romita Jr. and Al Williamson Daredevil #278 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1990). "Heart of Darkness!" A ground-level crimefighter that never backs down from a fight, Daredevil goes toe-to-toe with Blackheart, the son of Mephisto, Lord of Hell. The Man Without Fear shows none as he pummels the supernatural Son of Satan on this evocative cover captured by Romita Jr. from near the end of his run on the title. Ink over graphite on Marvel cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Includes a loose paper overlay with editorial notes/art and a loose acetate overlay with stat logo/header and text paste-ups. Toning to the board, tape along the top, staple and pinholes in the margins, a faint horizontal crease through the piece, a staple rust stain in the right margin, discoloring and staining on the back, with creasing, and edge and handling wear.
