DescriptionJohn Byrne Superman #4 Cover Original Art (DC, 1987). Bloodsport takes over on this Superman cover, the fourth in the revamped series featuring the art and storylines of John Byrne. Byrne's tenure on the feature included many changes for the Man of Steel, including elements that were later reworked into the hit TV series Smallville. Byrne handles both pencils and inks on this superb cover. Ink and graphite on DC Sparta Bristol board, with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The "N" in the Superman logo, here broken apart and scattered for effect, is an original replacement that has become stained from rubber glue use; otherwise, the art is in Excellent condition. This is only the second John Byrne Superman cover we've offered; even with the Big Guy represented only by his cape, it's sure to stir up excitement with collectors!
