DescriptionJohn Byrne - Original Cover Art for Green Lantern: Ganthet's Tale (DC, 1992). One of the most influential artists of the Modern Age, John Byrne made a name for himself on Marvel's X-Men and Fantastic Four before moving to DC and revamping the Man of Steel for a new era of greatness. Bringing his unique vision and instantly recognizable style to every project he undertakes, Byrne has left his mark on almost every character in both the Marvel and DC Universes. Offered here is his take on the Silver Age Green Lantern, along with some of the more alien members of the Green Lantern Corp. Stunning in its simplicity, this piece has been signed by both John Byrne and author Larry Niven (best known to comics fans for his short yet incisive essay, "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex"). The piece measures approximately 11" x 17" overall, and is in excellent condition. With the tragic destruction of the Corp and the eventual death of Hal Jordan, this is a piquant reminder of the "good old days" of comics.
