Description
John Byrne Iron Fist #11 Unused Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1977). If this had seen print it would have been just the third Marvel cover for Byrne. Instead, this powerful image was passed over in favor of a slightly more action-oriented version by Gil Kane. The dialogue as written by Byrne has the Wrecker saying "Give it up, punk. Your kung-fu tricks are all used up," while our hero bemoans, "He's right! Even my Iron Fist is useless against: The Wrecking Crew!" This cover has all the signature touches of Byrne's style during his early Marvel days. An outstanding cover from a legendary comic artist. Produced in graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight moisture rippling across upper third of page. Minor creasing and handling wear in upper third of page and margins.
