John Byrne and Michael Bair Hawkman #26 Cover Original Art Group of 2 (DC, 2004). Ever a trailblazer on the comics landscape, John Byrne, who last graced the feathers of Hawkman and Hawkwoman in Action Comics, returned as the artist of this fill-in issue. Byrne goes right for the jugular in this solid take on a vampire-bitten Hawkwoman, an incarnation of Kendra that is deadly earnest. Includes the separate Byrne pencils and Bair inks over the printed blue line, both on DC Bristol board with image areas of 10.5" x 15.75". Light smudging, staple holes in top margin, whiteout touch-ups, and light handling wear. Pencils signed by Byrne in ink in the center of image area.
