Description

John Byrne and Bob Layton Marvel Team-Up #72 Spider-Man and Iron Man Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1978). Spidey looks down for the count as Iron Man is entangled in Whiplash's electric whip on this dynamic cover featuring a team-up of two of Marvel's most popular heroes. The all-star art team of Byrne and Layton provide a shocking scene created in ink and screentone over graphite on cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Slight toning, taped stat logo/header, text, and art paste-ups, staple/pinholes and tape abrasion at the top, whiteout corrections/touch-ups, with staining and creasing/handling wear. Signed by the art team in the lower left image area and personalized by Layton in the UPC box. In Very Good condition.
