Description
John Buscema Thor #206 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1972). Buscema's dynamic artwork was unmistakable, leading him to guide aspiring artists as to how to "draw the Marvel way." This picture-frame cover pits our Asgardian hero against the Absorbing Man. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image size of 10" x 15". The logo, header, title, and text are all paste-ups, with some loosing adherence. Mild toning, tape over the issue number paste-up, residue staining, pinholes in the top margin, creasing throughout, whiteout corrections, oil staining, and edge and handling wear.
