DescriptionJohn Buscema Daredevil #137 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1976). There's not much fun for Daredevil when he tussles with the Jester as they plummet towards the steel fangs of doom. Buscema was once described as "the Michelangelo of Comics," and his superhero covers are always in high demand. The original artwork was re-positioned and augmented with additional strips of paper, basically to alter the angle of the characters' fall; this art was in turn photostatted and used to create the final production cover (also included in this lot), complete with logo and text stats. The original art measures 11.5" x 16.5" and is in Very Good condition with some surface ink loss at the paper joins, and an irregular trim. The production cover is also in Very Good condition.
