John Buscema and George Klein The Avengers #62 Cover Black Panther and Man-Ape Original Art (Marvel, 1969). The Black Panther faces the Man-Ape in his first appearance on this cover, with floating heads of the Black Knight, the Vision, and Hawkeye. Winston Duke's portrayal of the character in several MCU movies has created a new fan-following for both the character and the actor! A classic cover created in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The corner box and logo are printed paste-ups., as are the lower left story title. The main image area was created on a separate Bristol board piece, trimmed, and then affixed directly to the cover stock Bristol board. There is some whiteout art correction on the board also. Lightly toned and in Excellent condition.
