Description
John Bolton Classic X-Men #22 Storm Back Cover Illustration Original Art (Marvel, 1988). A retro-future-looking Storm stands side-by-side with the mysterious M'Rin in this back cover pin-up reminiscent of classic sci-fi pulps. Classic X-Men's back covers typically served as a second cover for the issues, as they always telegraphed the original, Chris Claremont-penned short stories within. The short story this particular cover previews is important because M'Rin and her world would go on to feature prominently in 1988's X-Men Annual #12. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an 11" x 17" image area. The board is toned and has tape along the top and bottom margins; signed by artist John Bolton and in Excellent condition.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
