John Bolton Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat #1 Cover Painting Original Art (Innovation, 1990). In the 1980s, Anne Rice's vampire books were soaring on sales charts. David Campiti's Innovation Comics wisely decided to produce comic adaptations of her novels, and furnish them with beautiful fully-painted pages. Those covers and pages rarely ever come to market, and this cover by John Bolton is almost mesmerizing! Created edge-to-edge in oil on 16.5" x 24.5" canvas-textured art paper, and affixed to same-sized pressboard backing. Signed and dated 1989 in the lower right. There is edge and corner wear.
