    Description

Joe Simon Spyman #2 Cover Original Art (Harvey, 1966). The swinging sixties had more than its share of wild, wigged-out comic characters. Publishers grabbed every new trend, and the idea was to get as far out as possible in those crazy Pop Art days. Case in point: Harvey Comics' Thriller imprint, and their zany roster of heroes, like Spyman (with his "Electo-Robot Hand"). Here's Joe Simon's bizarre "Evil Eye" cover to the second issue of this short-lived series, with an image area of approximately 12.25" x 18". The image of Spyman at the top of the cover and the diagram of his hand were physically cut from the art to reuse in the next issue, and there are a few stains and tears within the logo stats, but overall this is in Very Good condition. Groovy! From the Joe Simon Estate.
