Description

Joe Kubert Unknown Soldier #267 Cover Original Art (DC, 1982). The Unknown Soldier is displayed before a Nazi crowd as his execution is announced. Kubert's elusive operative is stripped of secrecy here, turning his signature disguise-driven warfare into a public spectacle. This was the second-to-last issue of the series. Ink over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed. DC bullet, logo, all trade dressing, and cover text are all stat paste-ups, though there is some inking over the logo paste-up. Slight toning, whiteout corrections, original art paste-ups over parts of the Nazi ringleader's hat and face, marginal production notes, smudging, and minor handling wear. Includes COA. In Excellent condition.
